Sheffield United had finished the 1987–88 season in 21st place in the Second Division, having won their final game against bottom club... - Why is this mentioned on a section that is related to the play-off.

O'Kelly was unavailable for Walsall for the match... - Why is this in the second leg and not in the middle of the first leg.
Because he pllayed in the first leg and didn't make it back from injury in the second leg and I have no sources to mention the injury in the first leg, perhaps he just finished the game and it was after the event.
