I have made a few changes to enhance the quality of this page. I have added a background section. This highlights how the foot-and-mouth disease was prevalent in the years leading up to the outbreak in 1967. Also, I mentioned that the disease could be found across Europe. In the outbreak section, I added information to conclude the section describing how many outbreaks were detected and where the majority occurred. A reports section and aftermath section was added to show what happened after the outbreak. The article about the 2001 crisis in the United Kingdom has a similar reports section. Also, in the animal slaughter section, the last sentence was removed because it was redundant. The old section started with 430,000 animals were killed and then ended with about 500,000 animals were killed. These additions further explain the events leading up to and the outcome of the outbreak, which further explains the situation.
