Should Lesley Riddoch's birth be listed here given that she was not born in Scotland? According to her article she was born in Wolverhampton and did not move to Scotland until 1973, after ten years in Belfast. I know most of her career has been spent in Scotland and she is normally described as Scottish and I think her family were from Scotland, so I can partly, see the logic of her being included, but her birth was not an event in Scotland. I notice there seems to be inconsistency on this in other cases. For instance 1903 in Scotland includes Alec Douglas-Home, but notes he was born in London. However Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, who was born to Scottish parents in London and spent much of her childhood and early years in Scotland is not listed 1900 in Scotland, while current Scottish Cabinet Minister Michael Russell who was born to a Scottish father and grew up in Scotland, but was born in England is not included in 1953 in Scotland.
