Wrong map for 1954?
[edit]The map doesn't seem to have the slight detour over the bridge (now a gated farmer's field) before the climb up to Deers' Leap. Also, I think but am not sure, Joey's Windmill wasn't called that in 1954. I think it is named after Joey Dunlop who wasn't known in 54. 147.147.176.6 (talk) 09:06, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
- Yes you are quite right that the layout shown is not correct. I wasn't previously aware that the layout had changed but comparing the image in this article (and 1953 RAC Tourist Trophy and 1955 RAC Tourist Trophy) with the map in Richard Hough's book Tourist Trophy it is quite clear. This can be seen also in [1]. The section over Leathemstown bridge was removed, and the hairpin was changed. Joey's Windmill isn't mentioned on the older maps I've found, and there are a few other changes to the names of corners/sections. A7V2 (talk) 23:48, 24 October 2022 (UTC)
