Being WP:Bold I merged this article with Bell Trade Act. This is not what is preferred. I would prefer two solid, informative, detailed articles, but we do not have those yet. We have two short articles that are nearly stubs. And those two articles go so well together. The Bell Trade Act required the plebiscite. Putting them together makes that connection clear, and the consequence to Philippine sovereignty. Putting the two together helps readers see what relationships was between the US and the Philippines. Separately the two almost-stubs seem blah. Merging the two also reduces the need to duplicate discussion of the specifics of the Bell Trade Act and parity and of the arguments pro and con. Hopefully sooner rather than later we will have enough material to split the article back into two.--Iloilo Wanderer (talk) 12:08, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
