[edit]@Jweiss11: You made an edit to this article asserting that Louisville in 1947 was a member and champion of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Louisville media guide (here) at p. 202 asserts that Louisville was an "independent" in 1947. As your edit contradicts the media guide, can you provide a supporting source? - The article for the River States Conference, formerly the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, indicate that Louisville was a member from 1926 to 1948. The conference no longer sponsors football, but did back in that era. Here's an article from 1939 that confirms Louisville's membership at that point: https://www.newspapers.com/clip/15891075/kentucky_advocate/. Jweiss11 (talk) 15:44, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
