Independent party

[edit]

no idea what it is. --CarTick 19:54, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i think it refers to the "independent nationalist party". When justice came under periyar's control and he boycotted elections and was asking for the british to stay, the old guard floated this party to support indian independence and generally were against DK take over of justice. gbook search in krishnaswamy's book says it was headed by subbarayan. --Sodabottle (talk) 20:09, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Congress participation and Labour Government

[edit]

it appears both are linked as it stands now. --CarTick 04:08, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i think the are linked. congress participated because attlee promised eventual dominion status. i will look for specific refs--Sodabottle (talk) 04:19, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
