  • First off, do you have to emphasize that much about how powerful it is? "... caught in the eye of this extremely powerful, very intense hurricane," - that's two positives. You should just say "was caught in the eye of the hurricane." TheAustinMan(Talk·Works) 16:21, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Even with modern tropical cyclone observation techniques available, this reading still qualifies this cyclone as one of the most intense on record; the next hurricane in the modern record known to have a lower measured minimum central pressure is Hurricane Ava." - Just remove this part. First of all, its trivial. Second of all, its not even true. Ava had a minimum pressure of 915 mbar (4th). Hurricane Ten had a pressure of 930 mbar, which isn't really significant and is not in the top 10. TheAustinMan(Talk·Works) 16:21, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • It's not trivial, it would IMO be trival to say it was the Xth most intense Pacific hurricane. As for your second comment, it does rank in the top 15 most intense Pacific hurricanes, and there have been just over 1000 EPAc hurricanes, so it ranks within the top 1-2%. It is also true that no storm that we know of was stronger till 1973, however, I removed that since we can not source that. YE Pacific Hurricane 16:47, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Although this does not qualify for the quickfail criteria, you may want to consider taking this off GAN, working on it some more, and then bringing it back. There are a lot of errors that should be fixed. However, if you feel like it, then you can still stick around and fix the comments, and maybe I'll have some more when you're done correcting the issues.
