Portrait size
[edit]I based the portrait being larger here (and 1947 and 1989) off of how it was done in the Nazi German ones on wikipedia. What is the reason for them being larger there, but that not being the rule for other single-candidate elections? Is that an inconsistency with the German ones? @Number 57 Polish kurd (talk) 18:36, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- I personally think it's best to keep images at the default size for consistency. The German images were at default size until last year when they were changed (which was reverted, but the reinstated against BRD). Cheers, Number 57 21:00, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- Also, while we're talking, I was going to ask you about the change of colours of Walesa on the 1990 Polish presidential election article. The issue is that the maps in the infobox were based on the previous colour used ( ) and now looks a bit odd that his party colour has been changed to red... Number 57 21:08, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- If we go by the map that is currently being used, Wałęsa was using Mazowiecki's color from the first round, so it was erroneous to me regardless. I'm considering redoing that map aswell, as I did with the one for the 2000 Presidential election. By the way, if you want to discuss certain matters with me at a longer length, regarding my reworking of these election pages (which I plan to continue to do until their quality is as good as the ones of the US presidential elections), I feel like it's better to communicate off-site, like through discord (do you have it? I could add you) or so, instead of filling up the wrong election's talk page. @Number 57 Polish kurd (talk) 21:22, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
- OK, probably best to redo the maps given the colours don't match up for any candidate. Re discussion, I think it would be best to do it on our user talk pages – I don't think it's appropriate to communicate off-wiki, as it excludes other editors / prevents them from seeing what is being discussed – I think it's important that this kind of stuff is done openly.
