Metropolitan Conference?

@Cbl62: I can't find any references to a "Metropolitan Conference" in 1923 aside from the College Football Data Warehouse. I did find sources for a "Metropolitan Collegiate Conference" in 1928 and 1929, which included a number of NYC-area teams, but not St. John's. Our article on Metropolitan Conference (1923–1931) also states that existed from 1923 to 1931. That, too, is sourced to CFDW. CFDW is usually pretty reliable. I'll dig a bit when time permits. Cbl62 (talk) 19:41, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
A search for "st. John's" and "metropolitan" in New York during the 1923 season turns up about 1,500 hits. Many of those concern the "Metropolitan League", a high school athletic conference. Others appear to refer to "metropolitan collegians". But I've only scratched the surfaced so far. Cbl62 (talk) 20:41, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
