@Schwede66: Nope, these are foreign military honors. (I think British citizens have to get crown approval to wear them.) But thanks for keeping an eye out, the way they announced these, I would not be surprised if I missed some. :-) —МандичкаYO 😜 04:52, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Wikimandia: Hm, not sure that I quite understand what's going on. I tell you what I did: I wanted to amend Edward Chaytor's entry, as he appears in the 1917 New Year Honours list (as Colonel Edward Walter Clervaux Chaytor). So I looked up on the London Gazette in which issue his name appears. You now say that he isn't supposed to be listed here because issue 29945 covers foreign military honours but he does appear on this honours list. Don't see this as a criticism; you are doing sterling work. It's just that I'm confused. Schwede6605:12, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Schwede66: No prob, I wasn't feeling criticized! :-) Sorry for the confusion. In issue 29945, p. 1606 it shows Chaytor received the Order of the White Eagle, 3rd Class from Serbia. This is definitely valid for his biography, but it's not part of the New Year Honour's List, which only covers national decorations. He appears in the 1917 list because he was awarded the CMG (see page 5 of 29886).[2]—МандичкаYO 😜 05:23, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
