Research update
[edit]Hi all, I just updated the page with some 2005-2007 results and filled out the reference list (including the missing Cayrel de Strobel link that I think folks were looking for). I also removed a few redunancies (such as "main sequence dwarf") and one bit about 18 Sco's planets that was speculation, and fixed a dead link to our press release (we changed the URL). I hope these edits help make the page more timely, while preserving the original page structure and reference format. JCHall (talk) 21:34, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
G2 V "a"
[edit]What is a Va star? I asked this at the stellar classification discussion page and nobody there was quite sure either, but here it is mentioned again. Does this mean the Sun is of type G2Va as well? 68Kustom (talk) 00:32, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
- It may be intended to indicate that the star is at the upper end of its luminosity class.[1]—RJH (talk) 17:05, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
