I'll review this article shortly. Wizardman 16:32, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
Here are the issues I found:
- "In 1893 the team was called the "Crimson White" as the current "Crimson Tide" moniker was not used until 1907." I'd reword slightly. Maybe "The team was called the "Crimson White" from 1893 to 1906, when their name changed to the currently used "Crimson Tide"."
- Revised per suggestion.
- "Sewanee shutout the Crimson White 20–0 at Lakeview Park" in this usage shut out is two words.
- Revised
- Would William Walker be worth linking? Usually major CFB quarterbacks are notable, but given that this was pre-regulation there may not be enough sourcing.
- IMO linking William Walker is not necessary as there is not enough out there to meet WP:CFBPLAYER.
- I may be overthinking this, but why is Auburn used through this article and their corresponding 1893 article if it wasn't named that officially until partway through the 20th century? It doesn't really affect this article at all but the naming threw me off at first.
- The school was API long before officially being Auburn University, but I do know historically it was also referred to as simply Auburn. This is really more a question for someone who knows much more about the history of Auburn University.
Not too much to fix, looks like anything worth noting is already in the article. I'll put this on hold and will pass when fixed. Wizardman 16:58, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review! I believe I have addressed you concerns, but please feel free to let me know if anything else needs to be tweaked. Patriarca12 (talk) 18:21, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
- Everything looks good now. I know next to nothing on many colleges' histories, especially those in the SEC area, so I'll presume everything's alright as is. As such I will pass the article. Wizardman 02:14, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
