Hawai'i
[edit]I am curious if it is appropriate to have the apostrophe in Hawaii. I notice that the main article of Hawaii does not do this. Should we not be consistent?

LOT NOT WANTING HAWAIIANS TO VOTE?
[edit]Can someone please cite some sources as far as proof regarding Kamehameha V not wanting Hawaiians to vote because he felt that they couldn't vote intelligently? I mean, we already know that in his 1864 Constitution the legislature drew up the laws and created these articles in the constitution like the voting qualifications. So how do we know that it wasn't the 2 Houses who suggested the voting restrictions? Let's not forget the 1887 Constitution and we know how even more manipulative that was as the amount of House of Nobles to House of Representatives as well as the increase criteria (income/property) that helped elevated na Haole into these positions where their vote was the majority. Increase in power
[edit]Could someone also explain what exactly was the King given as far as increased power was concerned? Of course I'm sure we're talking other than having 2/3 approval vote from the legislature. Mamoahina 16:01, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
