No running mate
[edit]There were no running mates in the 1788, 1792, 1796 & 1800 campaigns. PS: In 1796 & 1800, Adams' & Jefferson's running mates were also presidential candidates. Running mates were formalized in the 1804 campaign, after the passage of the 12th Amendment to the US Constitution. GoodDay (talk) 22:09, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
