[edit]I added B1=y since the article is properly cited. Here are some comments about B-class articles. Please note that I only know what is in the B-class criteria and what other editors have told me about articles that I have submitted for review. The article looks informative and is free of grammatical errors. Here is what might be improved.
- The lead section should be one to four paragraphs. These should summarize the article. For this article, one long or two short paragraphs would be appropriate.
- Add links. The article refers to a number of individuals, Price, Hebert, Curtis, Van Dorn, McCulloch, Beall, and Cockrell who have wikipedia articles but there are no links to them. Similarly, placenames should also have links (example, Johnson County, Arkansas).
- More than one editor told me to avoid a lot of lists. I'm not sure why, since I think lists are easier to read. It might be better to move any lists that you think are really important to the end of the article and put the material in narrative form. In other words ... Captain Smith, Company A, Captain Jones, Company B, ... Including the regiments at Port Hudson is pertinent information (it is always a good practice to list the units that the featured regiment was brigaded with), but to put them in a bulleted list seems unnecessary.
- What did the regiment do at Pea Ridge (right flank facing Oberson's field), Iuka (2nd attacking wave), Corinth (Gates' brigade helped overrun Davies' division), and Port Hudson? If this is not known, a brief account of the battle would be helpful.
The first two bullets are important, the last two are more like suggestions. Djmaschek (talk) 01:52, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
- I moved the John Hill photo to Battles because its placement was causing a gap in the text. Djmaschek (talk) 02:40, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you Sir!Aleutian06 (talk) 03:03, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
- There is a book about this regiment called "If I Should Live: A History of the 16th Arkansas Infantry Regiment" by Mark R. Miller, published in 2002.68.7.16.44 (talk) 22:43, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
