Dates wrong? Another unit with same name?
[edit]I'm sitting here looking at a commission for one Matthew Moody into the 155th Infantry of the state of New York, signed by Governor DeWitt Clinton in 1819. Either the dates of 1862-1865 are wrong for this regiment, or there was another earlier one. Help? Bookgrrl holler/lookee here 20:46, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
- It's likely an error on the commission. New York had no regiments with that high number designation prior to the Civil War. Spacini (talk) 15:29, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
