Set list and table
[edit]I propose to have a single and simplistic set list as opposed to thirty (excuse the exaggeration). Also, the section in the table (Oceania leg) which was randomly crossed out yet mentioned again later on due to rescheduling. We try to follow closely to a new format which is taking place in many other tour articles. It looks better and is easier to read. — TheMadonnaMusicCN (talk, contribs) 07:38, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

In regards to the set lists, Wikipedia is not a directory. Listing every single set list is not what we're here for. For fans of the band, they can see the different set lists from their official website, not here. One is more than enough (this applies to every tour). As for the tour dates, that's just laughable. I don't understand how anyone could think that format is acceptable, even disregarding the fact that it fails our style guidelines. — Status (talk · contribs) 19:56, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
- Fully agree. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 19:58, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
I totally disagree with all these ideas. The setlist changes every night of the tour. For instance: each night, the audience votes for the venue song. The order of the songs may change too. Besides, the Oceania postponed tour dates section is a precious information. This section is not randomly crossed out. Wikipedia may not be a directory, I'm glad to hear it, nevertheless, many other concert tours articles show such exhaustive setlists section... and that's great! - This is an encyclopedia. We do not catalog exhaustive set lists for concert tours. If they exist on other articles, they should be deleted. There are plenty of online directories where people can do this sort of work and where fans can refer. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 20:22, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
- And yes the section was randomly crossed out, still sort of readable, and then mentioned later on. It's much more easier to make a notelist and say these concerts were rescheduled due to whatever reason. And as the other users mentioned above, one setlist should be enough, regardless if it changes every night. And truthfully, it looks like each set list is the same but just in a different order. — TheMadonnaMusicCN (talk, contribs) 20:56, 28 May 2014 (UTC)
- TheMadonnaMusicCN, please don't be so disrespectful and say that the Oceania leg section was randomly crossed out and then added later - those shows were postponed because of the death of Mick Jagger's long-term girlfriend and life partner L'Wren Scott. So it wasn't randomly crossed out, those dates really were the original dates for the Oceania leg but it was postponed for autumn due to her sudden death. Death of lead singer's girlfriend is not a whatever reason and is not random. As for the set list, I agree, the Stones do play very similar set of songs every time with maybe 3-4 changes each night. One set list should be enough. But I have seen the current format on some other tours' pages so they should be changed too. 93.138.75.187 (talk) 21:11, 31 May 2014 (UTC)
- Disrespectful? The Oceania section was randomly
crossedout. I was only stating a fact. Also, I never said death was a "whatever" reason. It had nothing to do with the reason but rather with the format. The information is still there but looks 10x better. — TheMadonnaMusicCN (talk, contribs) 20:41, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
