I will review this one, comments to follow over the next few days. Zawed (talk) 06:05, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
This is in very good shape, only a few minor things to nitpick.
Lead
- Guard duty and little preparation for war were seen as a hindrance to good morale. I'm not seeing explicit support for this statement in the body of the article. TBH, I would delete it from the lead, it seems a little long relative to the overall length of the article.
- The supporting part of this was buried towards the bottom of the "Initial service and transfer to France", but I have deleted per your recommendation.EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 16:33, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
- Is spread-out supposed to be hyphenated, it doesn't look right to me?
- Probably not (Cambridge English dictionary had it without one), hyphen removed.EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 16:33, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
Background
- a lack of facilities suggest replacing lack with dearth here, as lack is used previously in the sentence.
- Tweaked per your recommendationEnigmaMcmxc (talk) 16:33, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
- Is there an appropriate link for the War Office?
- There is, and addedEnigmaMcmxc (talk) 16:33, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
History
- important locations known as vulnerable points. suggest "known to be vulnerable points."

- an ad hoc garrison suggest "a makeshift garrison" to avoid repeated use of ad hoc.

- This process involved the break up of... Suggest "This entailed the break up of" to avoid repeated use of involved.

- This included disbanding the 12th (Eastern) Infantry Division, which occurred on 11 July,... The word "This" is used to start three successive sentences. Suggest "Consequently, the 12th (Eastern) Infantry Division was disbanded on 11 July, and its units dispersed."

References
- Allport is listed as a reference but doesn't appear cited. Ditto Simkins, Smalley
- It seems when I was expanding the article, I accidently overwrote one of the notes. I have reinserted it, it contains the references that are cited to Allport and Simkins. Smalley was in line citation 30, which is not 34 due to the reinsertion of the note.
- Is it not possible to cite page numbers in the Lynch and Murland refs?
- At the time, I was only able to access a e-version that lacked page numbers. However, I have been able to verify the contents via an earlier version using Google snippet view, and have updated the article for Lynch. I have not been able to do the same for Murland, unfortunately.EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 16:33, 24 March 2021 (UTC)

That's it for me. Zawed (talk) 09:50, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you for your time, review, and comments. I have attempted to address them all above.EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 16:33, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
- All good. I'm passing this as GA as I consider that it meets the necessary criteria. Well written and sourced, covers the subject, is neutral, stable and well illustrated. Cheers, Zawed (talk) 07:21, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
