Hoax
[edit]Obviously a hoax. Not even mentioned on the Near-Earth asteroid page (which also states that 5 km asteroids hit the Earth once every 10 million years - and this one 10 km and to hit within 15 years!). And with a range of 5-15 years, there would be no way of even knowing which side of the sun the Earth would be on when it came! Nor has it been in the news. Etc., etc.
A legitimate article could be written about this asteroid, since it does exist. Roger 08:24, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
- The article says it was discovered in 1907, while List of asteroids/1101–1200 and Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth say 1930. The collision stuff is apparently all made up. GregorB 17:47, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
I have waited at least 5 days, and now have eliminated anything I haven't verified. The discovery date has been changed to 1930 as per the Reinmuth article. Roger 06:42, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
