Family
[edit]If this is a family and not just a single enzyme, this should be clearly stated from the outset, to prevent baffling the reader; would be great to list all the members of the family. Cheers, --CopperKettle 08:41, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
Outline for Beta-galactosidase
[edit]Hello, I am new to wikipedia and am interested in expanding this article by adding any of the information listed below. Please let me know if these ideas will work for this article. Any suggestions on other topics that would need to be adding to this page are welcome!
- Add information on kinetics for this enzyme (catalytic rate)
- Add some more details on the "shallow" and "deep" reaction mentioned in the article
- Add image depicting the break down of beta-gal into allolactose for lac operon and galactose and glucose for glycolysis (simple image for layman)
- Can add information on galactosylation and degalactosylation as well as allolactose formation
- Also can add information on the inhibitor and activators
Thanks all! Nikkayd29 (talk) 08:08, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
Updates and Additions
[edit]Hello, I will be working on this article for a molecular science graduate course I am taking. Most of the information needed for my project is already present in the article, so I will be looking to update or add to this information. Also, some information in not cited. I will be removing the uncited information and replacing with cited material. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Clearnoseskatejawn (talk • contribs) 18:53, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
