[edit]Why is it called Öküzgözü (ox eye), is it related to bullseye, is it a place name, what is it? denizTC 21:00, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
I guess it's probably b/c of this: Öküzgözü has rounded, dark colored grains (that is biggest among all varieties in Turkey) denizTC 21:02, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- It's possibly a translation of the Kurdish name of the grape, Çavga or in Bahdinan area (Iraqi Kurdistan) Çavê gayî; çav = eye, ga = bull, ox. It would be interesting to know what the name is in Armenian and Syriac. --MikaelF (talk) 14:29, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
