Change DAB to NOTDAB
[edit]The Óláfs saga helga article was set up as a dab article pointing to separate article for each different version, but I failed to see the wisdom to this. The reference in print I used (Scribner's Dict. Med. Ages) does not take this approach, nor do I think most others. So I have changed the article to WP:NOTDAB by removing {{disambiguation}} and replacing with {{set index article}}, and wrote it up into an "article containing a list".
As a practical matter, I found it cumbersome to not be able to create a link when referring to the Flateyjarbók recension of Óláfs saga helga without getting an alert from dab solver bot on my talk page.
My guess is that there was reluctance to lump the work into one because the later versions may not have derived from the earlier ones. But there are probably numerous instances where that is the case (like the fifty-odd Welsh brutiau?) but the possibility of independent effort doesn't preclude a single article being created to treat them in a lump group, I don't think. --Kiyoweap (talk) 01:52, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
What's "helga"?
[edit]Should this read "St. Olaf's Saga" instead? Kortoso (talk) 19:37, 5 January 2017 (UTC)
