Merger proposal

I propose that the recently created article Åsane Fotball Damer be merged into Åsane Fotball. I don't think it can be justified to have two stand-alone articles for two clubs that play at such a low level, even if the men's team and the women's team might not be the same club "formally". The women's team doesn't pass the general notability guideline, and playing at the second tier of women's football in Norway confers no notability, so the best thing would be to merge the articles about the women's team into the parent article. - I don't really mind a merger, as long as the information from Åsane Fotball Damer is included in the new article. However, if the articles are merged, I think they should be merged to Åsane Allianseidrettslag, which is the name of the club which encompasses both the men's and ladies' football teams, a handball team, an American football team etc, like the Norwegian bokmål wikipedia has here.--Barend (talk) 19:31, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
- I believe Åsane Fotball should exist as an own article, but could created the article about Åsane AIL and mention the women's football team, the handball team and the american football team, with Åsane Fotball Damer (and maybe the other team's names) being redirected to that article. Split proposal
[edit]I wholeheartedly disagree on the split proposal. This would be two very short stubs, and it's the same club, really. Geschichte (talk) 10:48, 7 June 2021 (UTC)
- For lazy people it`s too short articles, but if both articles to do full, not short, in that case we will have two normal articles. Makenzis (talk) 11:07, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
