Taimus Werner-Gibbings (born 13 October 1981) is an Australian politician and actor who serves as a member of the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly for Brindabella as a member of the ACT Labor party.

Political career

Werner-Gibbings first ran for election to the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly in the 2016 election. He gained 0.4 quotas and was not elected.[1] He ran again at the 2020 election and was narrowly beaten by Johnathan Davis of the Greens.[2] In late 2023, he was kicked off the Labor Party's ticket in order to meet quota requirements, but he was soon reinstated.[3] He was elected as a representative for Brindabella in the 2024 election.[4]

Personal life

Werner-Gibbings lives in Fadden with his wife and three children. He was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes as a child.[5] He is one of the key figures behind Shakespeare By The Lakes, which performs Shakespeare in the summer around Canberra.[6]
