Taher Gurab (Persian: طاهرگوراب)[a] is a village in, and the former capital of, Taher Gurab Rural District[4] of Taher Gurab District, Sowme'eh Sara County, Gilan province, Iran, serving as capital of the district. The capital of the rural district has been transferred to the village of Now Kasht.[5]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 1,311 in 367 households, when it was in the Central District.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,331 people in 423 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 1,168 people in 396 households.[2]

After the census, the rural district was separated from the district in the formation of Taher Gurab District.[5]
