Taeniamia is a genus of cardinalfishes native to the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean.

FishBase treats T. sansibaricus as synonymous with T. fucata.[4] but T. sansibaricus is recognized as valid by the Catalog of Fishes:[5]
