Tabith Awal (Bengali: তাবিথ আউয়াল; born 20 February 1979)[1] is a Bangladeshi activist, businessman and politician.[2][3][4] He is currently serving as the president of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF).[5][6][7] He is the son of politician Abdul Awal Mintoo.[8]

Tabith Mohammed Awal is a Bangladeshi politician, businessman and social activist. He was born on February 20, 1979 in a renowned Muslim family of Bangladesh.[1] His father Abdul Awal Mintoo a veteran politician and businessman of Bangladesh and Mother Mrs. Nasreen Fatema Awal is known as a prominent social worker and entrepreneur. Tabith have two brothers Tafsir Mohammed Awal and Tajwar Mohammed Awal.[1]

Early life and education

Tabith Muhammad Awal graduated from George Washington University, in D.c. USA.[1] There he obtained combined degree in BBA in Management Information System and M.Sc in Information System Technology. Returning to the country, Tabith Awal focused on politics and social service. Tabith Awal has involved himself in various social activities including increasing the civic facilities of Dhaka, improving the quality of life of the slum dwellers etc. Besides, Tabith Awal has been working successfully in various fields including agriculture, climate change, waste management of the country through his company Multimode Group.[1]

Tabith Mohammed Awal is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and was the mayoral candidate of BNP in Dhaka North City Corporation 2015 and 2020 elections.[9][10] Besides, he has been playing an important role in the ongoing movement led by BNP in the fight to bring back democracy in Bangladesh.

As football administrator

He was elected as one of the youngest Vice Presidents of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) in 2012.[11] He is also the Chairman of Tournaments Committee of BFF. He also owned a football club Feni Soccer Club and presently Tabith is the Chairman and Founder President of another football club NoFeL playing in the premier league under BFF.

On 26 October 2024, he was elected president of BFF.[12]
