TOI-1431 b, also known as MASCARA-5b, is an ultra-hot Jupiter exoplanet orbiting TOI-1431 in the constellation of Cepheus. It has an orbital period of 2.7 days.[1] Its dayside temperature is 2,700 K (2,427 °C), making it hotter than 40% of stars in our galaxy.[2] The nightside temperature is 2,600 K (2,300 °C).[3][4][5]
