The Suwon Baek clan (Korean수원 백씨; Hanja水原 白氏) is a Korean clan. It is from Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. According to research conducted in 2015, the number of members of the clan was 354,428. Their founder was Baek Wu Kyung [ja], who came to Korea during the Silla period and took a government post. Baek Wu Kyung was a descendant of Bai Yibing (白乙丙), a general of Qin state during Duke Mu’s reign who was descended of Zi clan. His hometown was Hua Prefecture, Shaanxi.[1][2]
