Steve Demetriou is an American politician who has served in the Ohio House of Representatives for the 35th district since 2023.[1] He is a Republican[1]

Career

Demetriou, as a first-time candidate in 2022, successfully ran as the Republican nominee for Ohio state representative from District 35. He defeated Democrat challenger Lori O'Neill 60% to 40%.[1]

Running for re-election in 2024, Demetriou defeated Democrat challenger Mark Curtis 52.6% to 47.4% to maintain his District 35 seat.[1] The district was heavily redrawn following redistricting in 2023, with slim Republican 1.5% lean before the 2024 election.[2] Demetriou won by 5.2 points.[1]
