St John's Church[1] is the parish church of Essington in the South Staffordshire district of Staffordshire, England.[2] It is an active place of worship and is located on Wolverhampton Road.[3]
History
[edit]The church was built in 1932 on a three acre site in the centre of the village of Essington. It was originally dubbed the "Iron Church" and accommodated up to 350 worshippers at a time. It also features a 56 foot tower in the centre of the building on the eastern part.[4]
