Songs of a Lost World is the upcoming fourteenth studio album by English alternative rock band the Cure, expected for release 1 November 2024 via Polydor and Fiction Records in the UK, and Capitol Records in the US.[1]
Background
[edit]Their first studio album since 4:13 Dream, released in 2008, Songs of a Lost World was several years in the making; it was originally intended for release in 2019.[1] Prior to its release, the band promoted the album in 2023 with a 90-date, 33-country live tour, Shows of a Lost World.[2] The album's release was officially announced on 26 September 2024, with the release of the lead single, "Alone",[3] and a dedicated website.[2]
The track listing is expected to be gradually revealed over the weeks leading up to the release of the album; the first single "Alone" is said to be the opening track.[2]
