Shuto Komaki (駒木 秀人, Shuto Komaki, born 30 May 2000) is a Japanese professional footballer who currently plays for Philippines Football League club, Kaya–Iloilo as a left winger.[1]
Komaki is a quick and skillful winger who is good at dribbling and passing. He is also a good finisher.
Club career
[edit]Youth
[edit]Komaki was born in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. He began playing football at a young age and joined the youth academy of Sorriso Kumamoto. In 2016, he moved to the youth academy of J2 League club, Roasso Kumamoto.
In 2019, Komaki joined Kyushu Sangyo University.[2] He played for the university's football team for four years and was a key player for the team.[citation needed]
Albirex Niigata (S)
[edit]Komaki signed his first professional contract with Albirex Niigata (S) in January 2023. He made his professional debut on 19 February 2023 in the Singapore Community Shield match against Hougang United. He came on as a substitute in the 76th minute and helped his team to win the match 3–0.[3] Komaki scored his first goal for the club on 25 February 2023 in the league match against the Young Lions. [4] Komaki helped the club to retained the league title thus winning his first career major trophy.
Kaya–Iloilo
[edit]On 3 February 2024, Komaki moved to Philippines Football League club, Kaya–Iloilo on a free transfer. He make his debut for the club on 7 April against rivals, United City in a 2–0 win. In the next league match on 13 April, he scored 2 goals and got 1 assists in a thrashing 12–0 win against DB Garelli United. Komaki helped his club to win the league title in his first season.
