Shaukat Mahmood Mufti (Urdu: شوکت محمود مفتی) is a Pakistani former footballer who played as a midfielder. Mufti is among the major players of the Pakistan national football team in the 1980s,[2][3] and served as captain of the national side in 1986.
Club career

International career

Mufti participated at the 1982 Quaid-e-Azam International Cup held in Karachi with the Pakistan national team, where he featured in all 6 matches as starter.[4]
In 1986, he served as captain of the national side at the 1986 Fajr International Tournament held in Tehran, where the team faced the Poland youth team, Al-Fotuwa, and the Iran national team.[5][6][1] He also served as captain of Karachi President's Gold Cup the same year, where the national side also faced Bangladesh.[7][8][9]
