Shandiz Rural District (Persian: دهستان شانديز) is in Shandiz District of Torqabeh and Shandiz County,[a] Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[4] Its capital was the village of Archang.[5]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of Torqabeh District of Mashhad County) was 15,431 in 4,132 households.[6] There were 12,687 inhabitants in 3,591 households at the following census of 2011,[7] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Binalud County,[b] The rural district was transferred to the new Shandiz District.[4] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 15,693 in 4,585 households. The most populous of its 18 villages was Virani, with 4,698 people.[2]
