Senecio glaucus is an annual member of the Asteraceae and species of the genus Senecio. It is found from the western Mediterranean to Central Asia in sandy, well-drained soil, particularly coastal and desert dunes. [3]

Distribution and habitat
[edit]Found in sandy soils of coastal plains, strands, and steppes.[5][6]

- Senecio glaucus subsp. cyprius Meikle – western and southwestern Cyprus[8]
- Senecio glaucus subsp. glaucus (synonym S. joppensis Dinsm.) – Egypt, Sinai, and the Levant[9]
