Scott Madon is an American politician who has served as the mayor of Pineville, Kentucky since 2015. After the death of state senator Johnnie L. Turner, Madon and 10 others filed as a write-in candidate for Turner's vacant seat.[1] With the endorsement of U.S. Representative Hal Rogers and the Kentucky Senate Republican Caucus,[2] Madon won the election with 35.2% of the vote and is the state senator-elect from Kentucky's 29th Senate district.[3][4][5]

Madon began his political career in 1987, when he was elected mayor of Pineville, Kentucky, becoming the youngest mayor in Kentucky. He was elected mayor of Pineville a second time in 2014, defeating incumbent Sherwin Rader. He is a member of the Republican Party.[6]
