Saffron Walden railway station served the town of Saffron Walden, Essex, between 1865[1] and 1964.[2] The station was 43 miles 43 chains (70.07 km) from London Liverpool Street, on the Saffron Walden Railway between Audley End and Bartlow.[3]
Present day
[edit]The station yard has been developed for housing, with the station building being retained and converted into private dwellings.
Since the station's closure, the nearest station to Walden is Audley End.[4]
