Early Life

[edit]

Sneako was born and raised in New York City, in a multicultural household of Haitian and Filipino descent. Growing up in Brooklyn, he was exposed to various cultural influences, which would later become a focal point of his commentary. As a teenager, he developed an interest in video games, especially Call of Duty, which led to his initial foray into YouTube content creation. During these formative years, Sneako began grappling with ideas of identity, masculinity, and self-expression, which heavily influenced his later career[1].

Career

[edit]

YouTube Rise

Sneako began his YouTube career in 2013, initially posting video game content. However, his content shifted in 2015 when he released “How People View You”, a philosophical video that went viral. This marked the beginning of his transition into social commentary, where he would tackle controversial topics like modern masculinity, relationships, and political ideologies. He also launched the “One Minute Podcast,” featuring short videos in which he offered opinions on a wide range of issues[2].

Controversies and Bans

Sneako’s opinions often sparked controversy, particularly his critiques of feminism, gender roles, and race relations. In 2022, YouTube banned him for violating their community guidelines regarding hate speech and misinformation. His inflammatory comments and promotion of conspiracy theories were key factors in his removal from the platform. Following the ban, Sneako shifted to Rumble, where he continued his commentary, free from the moderation of mainstream platforms.

Conversion to Islam

In 2023, Sneako announced his conversion to Islam, sharing the news and his journey with his audience. He explained how his search for purpose and discipline led him to study the Qur’an and embrace Islamic teachings. His conversion has been widely discussed by his fanbase and other influencers, many of whom noted the positive changes in his behavior and outlook since adopting the faith[3].
