São João do Pau d'Alho is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population is 2,100 (2020 est.) in an area of 118 km2.[2] The elevation is 354 m.

The municipality contains 2.24% of the 9,044 hectares (22,350 acres) Aguapeí State Park, created in 1998.[3] It contains part of the 8,885 hectares (21,960 acres) Mouth of the Aguapeí Private Natural Heritage Reserve, created in 2010.[4]

In telecommunications, the city was served by Companhia de Telecomunicações do Estado de São Paulo until 1973, when it began to be served by Telecomunicações de São Paulo.[5] In July 1998, this company was acquired by Telefónica, which adopted the Vivo brand in 2012.[6]

The company is currently an operator of cell phones, fixed lines, internet (fiber optics/4G) and television (satellite and cable).[6]

The Catholic church in the municipality is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Marília.[7]

Protestant Church

The most diverse evangelical beliefs are present in the city, mainly Pentecostal, including the Assemblies of God in Brazil (the largest evangelical church in the country),[8][9] Christian Congregation in Brazil,[10] among others. These denominations are growing more and more throughout Brazil.
