Ruma (Bengali: রুমা) is an upazila of Bandarban District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.[2]
Geography
[edit]Ruma is located at 22°03′00″N 92°25′00″E / 22.0500°N 92.4167°E. It has 5,917 households and a total area of 492.09 km2.[citation needed]
Demographics
[edit]As of the 2022 Bangladeshi census, Ruma upazila had a population of 32533. The ethnic population was 26,503 (86.98%), of which Marma were 10,097, Mru 7157, Bom 6470, Tripura 2913, Khumi 890, Chakma 305 and Tanchangya 241

Administration
[edit]Ruma Upazila is divided into four union parishads: Ghalangya, Paindu, Remakri Pransa, and Ruma. The union parishads are subdivided into 15 mauzas and 225 villages.[3]
