Roshdi Khalil is a Jordanian mathematician and professor at the University of Jordan.[1] He specializes in applied mathematics, functional analysis, Banach space geometry, and harmonic analysis.[2] He has authored over 83 research papers addressing complex mathematical problems.[3] In 2024, he and his research team solved a major open mathematical problem that had remained unsolved since 1948.[4][5][dubious – discuss]
Awards
[edit]During his professional and academic career, he has won the following awards:[2][1]
- Kuwait University Awards for Outstanding Students in 1971, 1972, and 1973.
- McGill University Award for Distinguished Graduate Students in 1976.
- Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Arab Mathematicians in 1988.
- Organization of Islamic Cooperation Award for Science in 1997.
