Ro Min Rêlsak Ang Che (Be Thou Our Counsellor) is a song serving as the de facto state song of Mizoram in northeastern India.[1][2]
History
[edit]Following the declaration of independence by the Mizo National Front, the leadership sought to adopt an official national anthem for the nascent state. They identified Rokunga's song "Ro Min Rêlsak Ang Che" as a fitting representation of the Mizo people's spirit and aspirations. After obtaining Rokunga's permission, the song was officially designated as the national anthem during the two years of the declared independence.[2]
