Ridee Seenu (Silver Bells) (Sinhala: රිදීසීනු), is a 2024 Sri Lankan Sinhalese children's drama film directed by Udayakantha Warnasuriya and produced by director himself with Nishan Hewagamage for U films and Seesilan Films.[2][3] It stars Chahel Rageeth and Selena Twinkie as lead child roles along with Isuru Lokuhettiarachchi, Upeksha Swarnamali, Ravindra Randeniya, Roger Seneviratne, Shyam Fernando and Sanath Gunathilake in supportive roles.[4]

Production and release
[edit]This is the 26th cinema direction by veteran filmmaker Udayakantha Warnasuriya, whose last film Ginimal Pokuru was released on 2021.[6] Prior to this, he has directed only two children's films: Ran Kevita (2007) and Ran Kevita 2 (2013).[2] The film is directed by Warnasuriya himself with Nishan Hewagamage for Seesilan Films. Nishantha Pradeep Kumara is the cinematographer and Megha Kavinda Colombage is the editor and colorist. Music director by Udara Samaraweera, Aheliyagoda Somethilaka is the art director and Sanjaya Nipunarachchi is the feature writer. Donald Jayantha is the assistant director, and Asoka Ariyaratne is the production manager.[4][7] Shan Perera is the choreographer.
The film has been shot in 2022 around Colombo and Kurunegala.[2] The film was previously released on 24 March 2023 during 'Sinamabhimani - 2023' 10 year anniversary festival presented to mark the 10th anniversary of Sri Lanka Film Directors Forum.[8]
