Rebecca Mulira

Rebecca Allen Namugenze Mukasa, also known as Rebecca Mulira, was a Ugandan women's rights advocate and social activist.
Biography
[edit]Mulira was born in Mengo Hospital, Kampala, Uganda.[1] She is known for her contributions to the Buganda Kingdom.[2] She died in a car crash in 2001.[3]
Honours
[edit]She was honoured as one of the female icons of the African anti-colonial struggle.[4] She was hailed by the Kabaka for being a figure in women's emancipation.[5]
