Quinn Schulte (born October 18, 2000) is an American football safety for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Early life and high school
[edit]Schulte attended high school at Xavier located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Coming out of high school, Schulte decided to join the Iowa Hawkeyes as a preferred walk-on.[1][2]
College career
[edit]In Schulte's first collegiate season in 2019, he would use the season to redshirt where he did not see any game action.[3] During the 2020 season, Schulte appeared in three games where he made three tackles.[4] In week five of the 2021 season, Schulte recorded his first career interception in a blowout win over Maryland.[5] Schulte finished the 2021 season playing in 12 games and tallying two tackles and an interception.[6] In the 2022 season, Schulte started in all 13 games for Iowa, where he notched 71 tackles, six pass deflections, and an interception.[7][8] In week eleven of the 2023 season, Schulte intercepted a pass off of quarterback Gavin Wimsatt which he returned to the nine yard line, helping Iowa beat Rutgers.[9] During the 2023 season, Schulte started in all 14 games for the Hawkeyes, totaling 65 tackles, four pass deflections, and an interception.[10][11]
