Puntas de Valdez is a village in the San José Department of southern Uruguay.
Geography
[edit]The village is located on Route 1, about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) west of its intersection with Route 45. Its distance from the centre of Montevideo is 61 kilometres (38 mi). The headwaters of Arroyo Valdez lie west of the village.
History
[edit]On 14 November 1974, its status was elevated to "Pueblo" (village) by the Act of Ley Nº 14.296.[1]
