Pronovias is a wedding dress design business based in Catalonia, Spain. BC Partners acquired a 90 percent stake in the firm in 2017 for 550 million Euros.[1][2][3] In 2018, Amandine Ohayon took over from d'Andrés Tejero as the company's CEO.[1]

Manuel Mota Cerrillo was the company's creative director for 23 years until his death in 2013.[4] Juan Jesús Domingo, the General Director of the Group for seven years, leaves the company to become the CEO of Grupo Mémora. Borja Castresana also departs, taking a position at Desigual, while Manuel Cano leaves to become General Director at Rosa Clará. In April 2013, Pronovias appoints Manuel Ehrensperger, formerly of Swarovski, as its new General Director. The company also brings in Nikhil Nathwani as Global Retail Director and Anaïs Durand as General Director of Marketing, both previously with Swarovski. However, both Nathwani and Durand are dismissed a few months later.[5]

In 2014, Andrés Tejero Sala is appointed as the new CEO, replacing Manuel Ehrensperger.[6]

The company's work includes wedding dresses such as a sequined next-to-nude beaded bodysuit adorned with Swarovski crystals.[citation needed] Pronovias designed the lacy wedding dress Maria Menounos wore on her December 31, 2017, wedding night in Times Square.[7]

On December 20, 2022, the Pronovias Group announced that the company will be acquired by a group of investors led by Bain Capital and MV Credit. The company's acquisition process was completed in early 2023.[8][9]
