History and facilities
[edit]The school officially opened in September 1958 with 200 students enrolled in Grades 2‐9. The next year, Grades 1 and 10 were added. Due to a growing population at the south end of the city, an elementary school, Snowdon Elementary, was built on the grounds in the early 1960s, and students from Grades 7 - 10 attended PMS. In 2002 the school was converted to a grade 9-12 secondary school and underwent a $9.4 million renovation that also expanded its capacity from 475 to 650.[3][4][5]
